What You're Looking at and What You're Hearing

You're looking at the zipper on my backpack. It's in sharp focus because I set the camera to macro. You're looking at it and not what you're hearing because what I want you to hear is coming from two large bird cages stacked one on the other and covered with a tarp. And the reason I can't show them to you is because the man to whom the bird cages belong is sitting in front of  me. If he sees me turn my camera in the direction of the cages he might get pissed off. So, what you're hearing is the doors on the Red Line shutting, the train starting up, the welcome announcement in English and Spanish, and, occasionally, the squawking of the birds.
