Thinking on Your Feet

We've all been thrown into difficult situations on the day of a shoot. When the budget permits, it's great to have a scout day to work out as many kinks as possible in advance, but sometimes you have to hit the ground running.

Many's the time we've gotten to a location only to find we didn't have a set up that would work on film. We've gotten pretty good at improvising, pulling together whatever props we can to turn a boring conference room into a pretty believable classroom, a globe, a flag, the corner of the conference table decorated with some office supplies and you've got a teacher's desk.

That's when production is fun - nerve-racking to be sure - but when it comes together, it's just so darned gratifying.
